2015 has arrived and a with a new year, and each new day, another chance is handed to us to change ourselves and our communities! Rotary clubs everywhere are gearing up for something new to help communities in need, both near and far, and it starts with good communication. Who needs help? Who can help? The more we communicate, and the better, the more we can know how best to act.
Join us here weekly (or more often) to learn about our activities and direction and we invite you drop by, have a drink, and join us at our next meeting. This Tuesday, January 6, we will hear from Chuck Wingate and Ira Packman about Homelessness in Harrisburg, what it means, and what we can do to help. Both Chuck and Ira are Rotarians with the Harrisburg Rotary Club. Chuck is the CEO of Bethesda Mission and will talk to us about homelessness in general, and Ira is Co-Chair of the Homelessness Committee for the Harrisburg club and will share how they have been involved with this issue locally.
